“Learning is not the product of teaching. Learning is the product of the activity of learners.”

On March 18th 2023, under the CBSE Qatar Chapter Capacity Building Program a workshop on the topic- Project Based Learning was organized for teachers handling Primary Grades (I to V) at MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch. Teachers from various Indian schools participated enthusiastically and availed the opportunity of learning.

The resource persons Ms. Reshmi Girish and Ms. Hasmya Furkan made the workshop very interesting with their amazing style and knowledge. They explained- the steps in Project Based Learning and the three phases of PBL. They also threw light on Troubleshooting Common Pitfalls in PBL. The outcome of the workshop was fruitful as each teacher carried with them knowledge of how to develop problem-solving skills, improve communication skills, and inculcate creativity/ innovation. To know about the new technologies and to create community awareness among the children.

Teachers participated, engaged themselves in constructive discussion during the session, and shared their perspectives on the topic. The workshop covered all the areas in an easily perceptible way. The session was an engaging one and gave the teachers an opportunity to evaluate themselves as teachers and their role as a teacher in the classroom.
